Preparing For The Worst In Paintball Games

By Mike Mitchell

Playing such sport like paintball can have big disasters or accidents during the game. But are you really really prepared for the worst that could happen? Do you think that you are prepared in the game and something cannot go wrong? Even though you are prepared, something can still go wrong and if this possible thing occur, you still should keep yourself level-headed when pressured. And when you are the captain of the team in a paintball game, the greater is you’re responsibility. Even the most prepared teams may have some accidents and problems that could pop out in a game.

So in order for you to remain level-headed and prevent you from the worst things, it is best if you stay relaxed and cool. Panicking can affect your game and it can even spread into other players that may spark unnecessary arguments. Panicking may happen during the game especially when your gun has malfunctioned. This is a common problem in a paintball game and one of the best advice is to check or calibrate the weapon prior to the beginning of every game. This is really important especially if a tournament is coming up and you are a participant.

If you find out that the gun malfunctioned during the game, don’t be so worried. You gun problem may be solved right at after the end of the game so instead on heading out to battle your opponents, go for the flag or serve as a decoy. If possible, also have a friend of you carry an extra gun so that you can make an emergency transfer.

When a problem occurred during the game, try to forget about it and move on. Problems may occurs such as the referee making an error in officiating, a marker was jammed or chopped, snow or mud clogged your barrel. These things happen and some of them cannot be prevented. Note that teams are composed of individuals and when these individuals give up on themselves there is no chance that they will be able to defeat their united opponent. As an individual member of a team you should always give your best even though staging a comeback may seem to be impossible already. Remember you paid in order for you to experience the thrill of the game so why not just enjoy it.

Another thing o prevent you from worst cases is by not being too obnoxious. Throwing your weapon or even shouting curses at the referees shows that you have no sportsmanship. You would look like a fool in front of the other teams and tarnishes your name. Any news and rumors would spread quickly between teams. It is even more difficult to fix a tarnished reputation rather than to fix an error on the scoreboard.

The final thing to remember is to learn from your mistakes. One shouldn’t stay on regretting past errors, you are to learn from such experience and come back stronger than ever. Surely you messed up on the game but come the next moment the event happen to you again, you surely would know what to do.
